We've been asking you to recognize someone in your life who goes above and beyond by nominating them to be the person of the week. Sandra Thorsteinson nominated Michelle Derouard:
"After almost 2 decades of working at the Keewatin Patricia DSB, Michelle is retiring on Friday from Beaver Brae. Michelle is the glue that holds all of us together at school. Calm, competent….but also compassionate & dedicated. She is one of the most underappreciated people I know. She has been there for all of us in the trying times as a friend & a co-worker. The person we all depend on, but many will not know they do until her most deserving retirement. Her heart & hard work are an inspiration to all of us. She will be embarrassed to know she’s been nominated because as amazing as she is, she only knows how to be herself. (And that’s why we all love her)"
