Peacefully Millie Rydberg a resident of Pinecrest Home for the aged passed away on May 17, 2022, at the age of 80 years.

Millie is survived by her children Scott (wife Debbie), Matthew (wife Karly) Her Grandsons Nathan (wife Helena) Travis, Bodhi, and Rogan. As well as her great granddaughter Willow (Nathan).

Mildred was born July 13, 1941 in St. Louis Ml to Mother Jane and step dad Harry Gobleman.

Millie and Bob moved to Sioux Narrows in 1978 and became the new owners of Crawford's Camp. It didn't take Millie and Bob long to become active members of the community.

Throughout Millie's years in Sioux Narrows, she was a camp owner, paramedic, and receptionist for the Sioux Narrows nursing station, she only recently retired in 2018.

Millie was a valued member of the community and volunteered her time with various activities that took place here, such as Bassin for Bucks, youth drop in and curling Bonspiels. She also sat on multiple boards for the community. Such as the Rec Committee, United Church board and the planning advisory committee.

She will be greatly missed for everything she did for Sioux Narrows and the people that live here. When she was not working, or volunteering Millie loved to find herself a good deal! Even if that meant travelling to the states to find it.

Her all-time favorite store was Kmart, and she joked to Matt and Scott all the time that when she died, she wanted her ashes spread across a Kmart parking lot.

A Celebration of Millie's life will be held at 1:00pm. Sunday June the 12" at the Sioux Narrows United Church with a reception to follow at the Sioux Narrows Community Hall. (Approx. 2pm)

In Honor of Millie, in lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to purchase a new park bench for the Sioux Narrows Park (Fish Park as Bod hi likes to call it) so Millie can watch her youngest grandsons and great granddaughter play. Donations can be made to Copperfin Credit Union where an account has been set up for Mildred Rydberg Memorial Fund.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com for the Rydberg family.
