23-year-old driver charged with impaired driving in Portage

A traffic stop was conducted by Portage RCMP on June 2nd at 3:41 a.m., as a vehicle was pulled over on 11th Street NW in Portage la Prairie. 

A 23-year-old woman was driving, and showed signs of impairment. She was asked to provide a breath sample on a Roadside Screening Device. The result of that test was a Fail. The driver received an Immediate Roadside Driving Prohibition. She lost her licence for 90 days, the vehicle was towed and impounded for 30 days, and she will pay an Administration Penalty of $700.00.
