Weyburn Beavers fall to Swift Current 57s

In last night’s double header between the Weyburn Beavers and the Swift Current 57s, Weyburn was defeated in both games. 

The Beavers fell 8-3 in game 1, and 6-4 in game 2. In the 1st game, both teams earned 1 run in the 8th inning, and had doubles in the 9th inning. Swift Current then had five runs in the 10th. In game 2, Swift Current earned 4 points in the 1st inning, and Weyburn was unable to close the gap. The two teams got 1 run in the 3rd and 5th innings, and Weyburn earned 2 in the 4th inning.

The next game for Weyburn is on Friday, when the Beavers host the Sylvan Lake Gulls. The game starts at 7:05 p.m. at Tom Laing Park.
