The Portage Terriers are bringing back a local defenceman. Kian Calder has been reacquired by the Dogs’ completing the future considerations portion of a trade made with the Estevan Bruins last season.
Calder has played 15 games in a Terrier uniform and put up six goals while dishing out two assists in the process.
Last season with the Bruins, Calder totalled 33 points over 45 games and helped guide Estevan to an SJHL Championship.
The veteran blue liner will be bringing Centennial Cup experience to the Terrier roster as Estevan hosted the 2022 tournament.
The Portages was the captain of the Central Plains Capitals in 2019-20 and will now become a leader on this Terriers roster.
