The 18U AAA Southeast Twins played a pair of doubleheaders over the weekend and split both of them. 

Friday night, the Twins entertained the East Central Red Sox at Lynn Prime Park in Estevan. The first game was a 10-1 win for the Twins, while the Red Sox answered back in the second game, winning 7-4.  

Sunday afternoon, the Regina Athletics were in Estevan for a doubleheader. The Twins would take the first game, after grabbing the lead in the sixth inning. They held on for a 7-6 victory. In the second game, the Athletics would take the lead and hold on for an 8-4 victory. 

The Twins are now off to Fargo this coming weekend for a tournament.

The 18U AA Weyburn Beavers had their winning streak snapped Saturday afternoon when they took on the Assiniboia Aces, but they rallied back for two wins at home Sunday afternoon, improving their record to 16-2. 

The Aces would take an early lead at Tom Laing Park Saturday, and held off the Beavers to record an 11-8 win. The loss ended the winning streak for the Beavers at 12 games. 

Sunday afternoon, the Beavers first played the Swift Current 57s. Weyburn would blow out the visitors by a final score of 12-4. Then, the second game saw the Beavers shut out the Regina White Sox by a final score of 8-0. Ryker Watt and Sam Mallory combined for 13 strikeouts on the mound for the shutout.

The two Weyburn 18U A clubs facing each other in playoff action Sunday afternoon at Tom Laing Park. The 18U A Weyburn Beavers would pick up a 3-0 victory over the 18U A Weyburn Warhawks. 

Kylan Cox and Quinn Mantei combined on the mound for the shutout win.  

The Beavers are now 2-0 in the playoffs, and the Warhawks 1-1. The Warhawks will host Pilot Butte Monday night as the playoffs continue, with the Beavers travelling to Radville Tuesday.
