When you make it to 100 years of anything, there is no doubt that you have been through a lot and seen it all, but for the Treherne Agricultural Society, something new was added to their resume over the weekend.
Josie Robinson, an employee of Treherne Agricultural for over two decades, was presented with a Manitoba Historical Society award over the weekend on behalf of the Agricultural Society.
Robinson explains that the Manitoba Historical Society presented the award to organizations over 100 years old.
"I applied for this award back in 2020, and it was supposed to be presented at that time, but because of COVID, we were backdated. We have so many people here, so it's so nice to be able to share this award with everybody."
Robinson notes that it was a beautiful day and great to see the community support the Agricultural Society, which was founded back in 1900.
