The Weyburn Beavers got back into the win column Saturday night, as they held off the Lethbridge Bulls for a 10-7 victory.
Nolan Machibroda hit his league-leading sixth home run of the season and added four RBIs to take the league lead in that category, in the win. Also driving in runs for the Beavers in the victory were Caelan Dalman, Koby Kropf, Ryan Dauphinee and Matthew Armendariz.
Lucas Bacal made his first start for the Beavers, going six innings, and striking out six while allowing five runs, four of which were earned. Armendariz, who had started the night out at second base, moved to the mound, where he pitched for two innings, striking out one and allowing one run.
Brayden Mayencourt finished the game off on the mound, allowing one run in one inning of work.
The Beavers will now get set for their next game, Sunday, as they close out their road trip in Brooks against the Bombers.
