The City of Portage la Prairie has announced that as of today, July 12th, 6th Street NW from 6th Avenue NW to 7th Avenue NW will be temporarily closed.
The closure is due to water main construction taking place in the area and is supposed to be in effect for four weeks, according to the city.
On a smaller note, the city is also reporting that7th Avenue NW from 7th Street NW to Maplewood Crescent will be closed today, with the intention to open the road by the end of the day.
