It is with tremendous heartache that the family of Mitchell Edward White have to announce his passing on July 14th, 2022.

Mitchell came screaming into the world on December 7th, 1990. He was the youngest child of Orville and Margaret White. He came ready to take this world by storm.

Mitchell grew up in Portage la Prairie, spending many days chilling at the platform skateboarding with buddies and evenings rocking out with the band.

He enjoyed being active and loved hockey. Mitchell participated in Minor hockey for years and continued enjoying it, playing in different rec leagues as he grew up.

Through high school Mitchell poured his heart into his music. He played in the bands and sang in the choir. And he had natural talent, picking up anything he wanted and playing a little tune. It was this love of music that took him to the Canadian Mennonite University where he began studying music therapy.

But Mitchell’s wild heart heard the call of something new. And it led him to the restaurant business, he really had fun. From the falafel house to shawarma, Mitchell loved cooking. He made great food and great friends. He was managing a restaurant for Obby Kahn when his wind of change blew again, this time leading him to the film set. This is where Mitchell really shone. He was able to be his charismatic, creative, talented, fun-loving self and it didn’t go unnoticed. He was loved by everyone and he made true friendships with his team that he really cherished.

But above all Mitchell was so proud that his career gave him the opportunity to buy his dream. His farm!

Mitchell loved his farm. He loved riding his quad around admiring it or flying around his quad path. He loved sitting on his deck sipping a beer and petting his cats and shouting at the squirrels. He loved taking out a gun and shooting clays in his pasture.

Nothing made Mitchell happier than spending time with friends and especially his family at the farm.

From quad riding to family sing-alongs, bonfire, shooting clays, swinging the golf club, blokus game nights, working in the shop, cooking us amazing pizza dinners…. The list could go on forever and that is how long he will be missed!

It brings his family comfort to think of him being greeted by his beloved departed friends Kylie and Jimmy, along with the love of Mitchell’s life his kitty cat Ruca.

Mitchell will be forever remembered, cherished and deeply missed by his grandmothers Joyce White and Elizabeth Watkins. His mom and dad, Orville and Margaret White. His littler big brother Stuart White. His partner in crime, best friend and sister Samantha Driedger (Tim), gaming buddy and nephew Jackson, Hunting partner and nephew Quinton, Make-up artist and niece Emily. His loved and spoiled cats who will miss his snuggles every night. Also left to cherish his memory are his many aunts, uncles and cousins, and brothers and sisters from IATSI, along with his closest friends from work and life.
