A Kenora resident is $167,499.90 richer following a Lotto 6/49 win.
Melvyn Hanton took home the second prize, $167,497.90, on the June 22, 2022 Lotto 6/49 draw and also won $2 with the Encore to bring his total winnings to $167,499.90.
"I checked my ticket at the store, and I was shocked. I started to shake when I realized it was real. I told my parents, and they were super excited!" said Hanton in a prepared release from OLG.
Melvyn plans to invest and save his win for retirement and says he may take his granddaughter to Disneyland.
