The race for Kenora City Council is continuing to heat up, more candidates have announced that they are running. Ten people are now aiming for one of the six seats on Kenora City Council
Barbara Manson is running for a seat on Kenora City Council. A candidate bio has not been published for Manson at this time but the candidate did say via Facebook that she “wants to see an improved Kenora for residents and visitors alike.”
The second person to announce their run for Council is Joel McGrath, a local teacher with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board
McGrath has experience in politics as he currently serves as one of the Vice-Chairs for the Kenora Federal Liberal Association.
A candidate bio has not been published for McGrath at this time.
Among McGrath and Manson - Graham Chaze, Lindsay Koch, Kelsie Van Belleghem, Mark LaBelle, Cecile Marcino, Chris Poate, Louis Roussin and Logan Haney are also in the running for council.
The next election is set for October 24, 2022. The last day to file a nomination is Friday, August 19, 2022, by 2 p.m.
