The Township of Sioux Narrows-Nestor Falls had to make an unfortunate decision.
Municipal staff announced on August 3, via a Facebook post, that this year’s Moose n’ Fiddle Musical Festival is cancelled.
The Township said that the cancellation was due to the storm that passed through Nestor Falls and the surrounding areas on July 18, which caused major damage to Caliper Lake Provincial Park, the location for the event. The park remains closed at this time.
According to the Facebook post, any tickets that were purchased online will be refunded through Eventbrite. This process will begin as early as August 3rd, 2022. Any tickets purchased in person at select locations like the Travel Centre in Nestor Falls, Northern Ontario Sport Fishing Centre, and/ or Caliper Lake Provincial Park will also be refunded, they request that an email be sent to: info@snnf.ca with the words Refund Requested for the Moose n' Fiddle in the subject line.
In their post, the Township said “We hope to bring back ‘this cool little festival at the lake’ in August 2023!”
