The Calgary Flames and recently acquired forward Jonathan Huberdeau have agreed to an 84 million-dollar, eight-year contract extension.
The 29-year-old Huberdeau came to Calgary from the Florida Panthers with defenceman MacKenzie Weegar, forward Cole Schwindt and a conditional 2025 first-round pick last month for star forward Matthew Tkachuk.
Huberdeau scored 115 points in 80 games for the Panthers last season, tied for second in the league with now former Flame Johnny Gaudreau. Tkachuk, meanwhile, posted 104 points in 82 games.
