Christian worship artist Jon Buller is returning to Winnipeg to share some nostalgic music, as well as play some new tunes for fans off his brand new albums.
"We had a lot of fun and worshipful moments years ago with Hear the Music Night (HTM)," says Buller. "Although it's not called Hear the Music Night, I think you can expect that vibe, that joy, singing worship to the King."
Buller expresses he has a classic song of his, 'Meet Me in the River,' on the setlist for the Sunday evening's concert at the Park Theatre in Winnipeg. He'll also be playing a few new songs off his two new albums, Come Awake and Different Now.
"When we share our joys they're multiplied. When we share our sorrows, they're divided. Sunday night is about coming together because we need to be together."
One of Buller's favourite songs on his albums is a rendition of an old hymn.
"I always loved the old hymns but I've added a bridge to it. It's called 'Christ the Lord is Risen Today.' I used to sing it as a wee boy at River East MB church in Winnipeg. Bringing that back into the songbook has been fun."
People who want to see Jon Buller live in concert can buy tickets here for Sunday evening in Winnipeg. The show starts at 7:00 p.m. and the doors open at 6:30. He'll also be at Winkler Harvest Fest Sunday morning leading worship for the Sunday outdoor church service.
