The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation's (LWDHF) 16th Annual Lifesavers Dinner & Auction was a huge success!
An 'unparalleled' $351,000 was raised through a silent and live auction that featured nine spectacular items and once-in-a-lifetime experiences.
Proceeds from this year’s event will support the purchase of an Echo Ultrasound Machine for Diagnostic Imaging, a Portable Ultrasound & Stand for the Maternity Unit, and two new Pediatric beds at Lake of the Woods District Hospital.
“It was a privilege to gather again and celebrate the resilience of our communities during the ongoing pandemic, rising water levels, and critical time in Canada’s healthcare system,” said Anthony Sharp, Past Chair of LWDHF.
“The funds raised at the annual Lifesavers event are critical to allowing LWDH to proceed with capital infrastructure and equipment upgrades,” Sharp continued.
The Lake of the Woods District Hospital Foundation hosts several fundraising events each year, in addition to its monthly 50/50. All proceeds go towards the purchase of medical equipment as the government doesn't fund medical equipment.
