This Sunday marks the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, and the Lake of the Woods Speedway will be honouring Emergency Responders on the day.

“We are going to recognize emergency first responders. We’ve asked the OPP, Treaty 3, the local fire department, ambulance, MNRF and Ornge to participate. We hope to have ten emergency response vehicles to take laps with the race cars during the opening ceremony.”
Racing is set for Sunday with Hot Laps at 4 p.m., and racing at 4:30 p.m. with the Q104 WISSOTA Midwest Modifieds, WISSOTA Pure Stocks and 4-cylinders.
The Montreal Alouettes host the BC Lions in the lone game on tonight's CFL schedule.
Former Alouettes quarterback Antonio Pipkin will get the start for the Lions against his old team. He'll be backed up by Vernon Adams Junior, who BC acquired from Montreal last week in exchange for a first-round draft pick.
The Toronto Blue Jays open a three-game series in Texas today. The Jays have won eight of their last 10 games, while the Rangers have dropped nine of 10.
