Alan Joseph “Huck” Delorme
April 4, 1948 – September 7, 2022
Alan Joseph “Huck” Delorme of Chateau Providence, St. Brieux, SK, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. He was 74 years of age.
Alan was born to Alphonse and Marie (nee Stolz) Delorme on April 4, 1948, in Kelowna, BC, followed by the birth of his twin brother Gary, ten minutes later. He was two years old when his Mom and Dad moved the family to St. Brieux, SK. Alan’s working career took him to the mines in Thompson, MB, Sakundiak Equipment in Regina, SK, and lastly back to St. Brieux, where he was employed at Bourgault Industries.
Alan enjoyed playing hockey until a broken leg ended that sport. Over the years, he spent many an hour golfing on the St. Brieux Golf Course. Fortunately, Alan had many friends in St. Brieux who helped him out immensely during the past many years and for that, the Delorme family is extremely grateful to you all --- you know who you are.
Alan will be lovingly remembered by his sister, Joan (Leo) Briens; nephew, Matthew (Kaitlin, Charlotte) Briens; niece, Jennifer (Brandyn, Briar) McCartney; sister-in-law, Patricia Delorme; and niece, Stacey (Trent, Sophie) Green. He was predeceased by his parents, Alphonse and Marie Delorme; and by his brother Gary Delorme.
Alan spent the past five years at Chateau Providence and the family wishes to acknowledge and thank the staff for the wonderful care and consideration given to him. Thank you.
A Come and Go Reception was held in honor of Alan at the St. Brieux Social Center on Thursday, September 15, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. A Private Interment Service was held at St. Brieux Roman Catholic Cemetery. Memorial donations may be directed to Chateau Providence (P.O. Box 340, St. Brieux, SK, S0K 3V0).
