Finals begin tonight for the men. On the A-Side, Beauty Bay will hit the field first as they're home to D Smith A's. For the B-Side, Holmes Voodoo will take on Moncrief Diggers and Cottage Time Beavers will host the Legends. Each series will be best-of-three.

Toronto ace Alek Manoah will face Tampa lefty Jeffrey Springs in the first game of today's double-header between the Blue Jays and Rays at Rogers Centre.

Toronto is tied with Seattle atop the standings in the race for the American League's three wild-card spots. Tampa Bay is a half-game back. The Jays topped the Rays 3-2 in last night's series opener.

Nick Suzuki was named the 31st captain of the Montreal Canadiens on Monday. The 23-year-old centre is the youngest captain in Canadiens history and the second full-time captain of Asian heritage in NHL history.

Suzuki is entering the first season of an eight-year, 63-million-dollar contract extension, and had a career-high 61 points in 82 games last season.
