The Kenora Bladder Cancer Canada Walk is taking place Saturday, September 24, 2022.
Walkers are urged to meet at Casey's on Lakeview Drive at 10:15am Saturday and the walk gets underway at 10:30.
The Bladder Cancer Canada walk goes from Casey's to the Whitecap Pavilion, then Husky the Muskie for a photo, and back to Casey's for lunch.
“I am a survivor of non-muscle invasive bladder cancer, and I know that the work that is carried out by Bladder Cancer Canada is important for patient support, raising awareness and funding research,” said Ferg Devins, past Chair of Bladder Cancer Canada.
“The Kenora Walk helps us raise awareness about this disease in small rural centres here in northwestern Ontario, where blood in the urine may not seem urgent to a potential patient,” says Devins.
“One of the most common signs of bladder cancer is blood in the urine. If you see Red, See your Doctor,” reiterated Devins.
