Carolyn Henley
July 27, 1951 – September 14, 2022
Peacefully, with her family by her side, Carolyn Susan Margaret Henley passed away on September 14, 2022, at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 71 years.
She is survived by her children Jay Zlabis (Norma Derksen) and Willa Zlabis; her grandchildren Arron Derksen, Emily Derksen, Jacob Derksen, Jillian Skead (Patrick Mallory); and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, not limited to, but including Arlene, Gail and Jerome.
Carolyn was born in Kenora, Ontario on July 27th , 1951. She enjoyed her Tuesday cards with the ladies, puzzling, gardening, tending to her plants and baking for her family.
Carolyn will now be reunited with her parents, Margaret (Louis) Loranger; Bill Henley and her daughter Cary Lyn and her brother Jim, sisters Cheri and Violet (P-Nut).
A big thank you to her nurse practitioner Sandra Christie, Doctor Jean-Marc Rizk and especially the nurses of second east at the LWDH for their caring, kindness and compassion, not only to Carolyn, but to her family by her side.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00pm at Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre with Pastor Cathy Giroux officiating.
A tea and light luncheon will follow at 1301 Railway Street, Kenora.
