The Dryden GM Ice Dogs have one more day to prepare for a back-to-back against the Kam River Fighting Walleye this weekend.
The Dogs open the 2022-2023 regular season against Kam River tomorrow night, with a second game on Saturday. Both will be held at the Dryden Memorial Arena with a 7:30 p.m. puck drop.
Dryden will have a six-day break before they face off against the Wisconsin Lumberjacks on September 30 at home.
The Toronto Blue Jays open a four-game road series tonight against Tampa Bay. Toronto is coming off a 4-3 loss to Philadelphia in extra innings. The Jays currently hold the top wild-card spot in the American League. Tampa Bay is two games back and Seattle is two-and-a-half games behind Toronto.
NHL teams playing in the Czech capital next month have been told their Russian players are not welcome.
The Czech Foreign Ministry has told the league its stance is due to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Nashville Predators and San Jose Sharks are to play regular-season games on October 7th and 8th at Prague's O2 Arena.
