Fuel prices in northwestern Ontario have seen a 12-cent increase overnight – bringing the district to the unfortunate ‘top spot’ for fuel prices in the province.

We’ve been at 180.9 per litre since the end of July, but drivers in Kenora woke up to prices sitting at 192.9 per litre today. That’s the seventh largest day-to-day fuel price increase in Canada, behind the 25-cent increase seen in Chilliwack, BC today.

Overall, the Kenora district now has the 14th most expensive fuel in Canada, behind 13 communities from British Columbia for the top spot.

The same price increase hasn’t been reported in the Dryden area yet, but it’s likely coming. Sioux Lookout’s prices are reported to be around the 188.9 per litre mark, with statistics from GasBuddy.
