Neil Gregor MacLeod passed away peacefully, in the presence of his loving family on September 19, 2022 at Lake of the Woods District Hospital, at the age of 70 years.
Neil was predeceased by parents Len and Barbara MacLeod; brother Rodney Leonard MacLeod and mother-in-law Alice Arch.
He will be greatly missed by his son Scott (Tammy), daughter Chrissy (Nathen), son Jeffrey (Deanne) and their mother Kathy; grandchildren Levi and Vada; sister Carol (Pierre); sister-in-law Mary, Liz (James), brother-in-law Gerald (Candi), Bill (Colleen) as well as many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Neil truly enjoyed watching sports and encouraging his boys with football and hockey. Neil was a teacher who dedicated majority of his life to grades 7/8 students. In early years Neil lived in Sachigo Lake and The Pas to serve as a teacher, eventually returning to Kenora. The later years Neil resided in Henesy Terrace and would like to thank the staff and special thanks to Joanne Heath for her long commitment and support throughout the years.
A Celebration of Neil’s Life will be held 11:00 a.m. September 24, 2022 at the St Louis Roman Catholic Church Parish Hall in Keewatin, ON.
