The Kenora Under 18 AAA Thistles are getting back into the swing of things as they earned their third and second consecutive win last night in Beausejour.
They took the game 4-1 over the Eastman Selects. Eastman scored in the first, but Carter Peters evened it up late in the period. Emerson Evans added one in the second, while Andon Lowes and Nickolas Fagnili put two in the back of the net in the third. James Sinclair stopped 42 shots.
The Thistles will have the week off before heading back to Beausejour next Wednesday.
The T.A Saints are on the road today to take on the Voyageurs in Atikokan in NorWOSSA 'A' action. They're coming off a near-sweep against the Rainy River Owls yesterday.
The Senior and Junior Boys' Volleyball teams took their games in straight sets. The Junior Girls' Basketball team won a tight 23-20 game with Alex Spivey-Gittins earning the high scorer of the game with 10. The Senior Girls couldn't pull off the 'W' as they fell 27-22.
Elsewhere, the Dryden Eagles are in Kenora to take on the Beaver Brae Broncos and the Sioux Lookout Warriors host the Fort Frances Muskies.
All seven Canadian teams are in action tonight in the NHL.
Toronto hosts Dallas, Ottawa entertains Washington, Montreal is home to Arizona, Vancouver visits Minnesota, Winnipeg is at Vegas, Edmonton welcomes Carolina and Calgary hosts Buffalo.
