The Portage Collegiate Trojans football team was taken down in their final home game of the year tonight.

PCI suffered a tough 37-6 loss to the Springfield Sabres in their last game of the regular season. Head coach Brendon Brydges outlines some of the positives they can take away from this outing heading into the playoffs.

"The guys played hard. They battled. It was a tough game. Springfield is a good team," Brydges explains. "We just need to watch film, and we can learn from our mistakes this weekend. Hopefully, we'll be a little bit better next week."

The Trojans end the year with a 2-5 record after tonight's loss, and while Brydges isn't sure who they will be playing in the first round of the postseason yet, he knows they'll have to bring their A-game to come out on top.

"We have to get to practice. We have to get bodies out," Brydges continues. "We have to keep doing what we've been doing. We need to keep reworking our offence, keep repping our defence and just master what we've been trying to do all year."

PCI will look to have their best game of the season in the playoff opener next week.
