The 2022 Annual SIJHL Showcase has finished up, and the Sioux Lookout Bombers didn't disappoint in their first appearance. They went 2 and 0 beating the Fort Frances Lakers 4-1 on Friday, and 9-2 over the Thunder Bay North Stars on Saturday.

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs also went 2 and 0, doubling up on the Kam River Fighting Walleye 6-3, and clobbering the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets in an exhibition game 16-1 at Wessman Arena.

Members of the T.A. Saints’ Senior Boys Volleyball team are back from Thunder Bay with a silver medal.

The Saints travelled east for the annual St. Pats Festival, finishing with a 7 and 1 record. Their only loss came against the AA School West Gate Tigers, losing both sets 25-23.

The Saints are now gearing up for league games against Rainy River and Red Lake later this week.

The Toronto Raptors will be aiming to even their record tonight when they face the Heat in Miami. The Raptors, who beat Cleveland 108-105 in their season opener, have lost back-to-back road games.

There are six NHL games on the schedule tonight, involving five Canadian teams.

All eyes will be focused on the winless Vancouver Canucks as they look to beat the visiting Carolina Hurricanes. Ottawa Senators host the Dallas Stars, the Edmonton Oilers host the Pittsburgh Penguins, the St. Louis Blues face the Jets in Winnipeg, and the Vegas Golden Knights entertain the Toronto Maple Leafs.
