We regret to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunty, niece, cousin and friend, Ginette Marie Lena Tew (Huard).

She was called home to be reunited with dad, on October 13, 2022 which brings us so much peace to know that they are together again.

She was predeceased by her husband, our dad, the love of her life since she was 14 years old, Glen Tew in 1996.  Being such a young widow, she missed him with all of her heart, every second of every day that passed since.  A beautiful example if what true love is.

She will also be reunited with her parents Aurele and Alice Huard, here sisters, Roma Huard, Peggy (Maureen) Ratcliffe/Mariner (Huard), Micheline Ouellet/Bouchard (Huard), brothers in law Wally Tew and Marius Ouellet, all of her loving grandparents, aunties, uncles, cousins, and many close friends that went before her.  Also he beloved dog Ebony who was the ultimate companion and was so spoiled – she was her other baby.

She is survived by her two children who she truly lived and breathed for; (Trapper) Glen Tew Jr. (Tracy) and Jenny-Joe (Joe), her 6 grandchildren who were her absolute world; Shayne, Brandan, and Christie Tew and Jordan, Carson and Tyler Kitt, her mother and father in law Florence and Dave St. Denis, siblings; Mike (Carol) Huard, Bo (Colleen) Huard and Gary (Pamela) Huard, sister in laws Anjula Corbin (Tew), Cher Tew and brother in law Lorne Tew along with numerous aunties, uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and family and friends who were ALL very dear to her.  If you were moms close friend, you were her family too.

She was raised on a local farm in Kenora but also lived in Ear Falls, Kelowna, BC and Williams Lake, BC.  Kenora was here forever home though, she married dad at 18 and raised her children on Black Sturgeon Lake.  She adored her family and it showed.  She shone brightly as the matriarch of our family.

R.I.P. Mom, mama and grandma Tew.  You left us with the most beautiful moments and memories anyone could ask for.  You do live on through us, to be and live with even a shred of the person you were, the love, sweetest soul ever, the gentle nature, kindness, patience of a Saint, forgiveness for all always and all ways, the caring and understanding that you showed us, it is all an honour to be called yours.  May your beautiful selfless soul spread the love you carry high in to the Heavens.  We love you Mom XOXO.

We would like to thank the Unit #4 Nursing staff at Pinecrest, who took such wonderful care of Ginette, we would also like to thank the staff of Wiigwas Elder and Senior Care (formerly Birchwood Terrace), Lake of the Woods District Hospital and Brown Funeral Home & Cremation Centre
