As of Tuesday morning, Moose Jaw and area residents are still feeling the effects of Sunday's storm that saw 25 to 40 cm of snowfall in just over 24 hours.
SaskPower continues to work to restore power in a number of rural communities including Caronport, Tuxford, Marquis, Briercrest, Old Wives, Mortlach, and Parkbeg to name a few. In Moose Jaw, some sections of the northeast and northwest of the city remain without power.
The agency says that crews are working to have power restored in parts of Moose Jaw and west of Caron by 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and then have power back up and running to customers northwest of Tuxford by 3:00 p.m.
SaskTel is also working on Tuesday morning to restore wireless internet and landlines in rural communities around Moose Jaw. They said in a release on Monday afternoon that services are unavailable in and around the communities of Briercrest, Caronport, and Tuxford.
Additionally, landline services are unavailable in and around the communities of Buffalo Pound Lake, Drinkwater, and Marquis.
