It was a big day for members of the T.A. Saints’ Court Sports teams as Kenora hosted the Rainy River Owls, but the Saints dominated in each match.
In Senior Girls’ Basketball, Emmy Anderson led the way with 13 points as they won 43 to 33. In Junior Girls’ Basketball, it was Maddyn Hughes with 11 points as they won 35 to 26.
In Volleyball action, the Senior Boys took all 3 of their sets, while the Junior Boys won their match 2-0.
The Saints are taking on the Red Lake Rams in Court Sports action today.
Six Canadian NHL teams are in action tonight, with one still seeking its first win of the year.
The Montreal Canadiens head to Buffalo in hopes of snapping a two-game skid against the Sabres. The Ottawa Senators will welcome the Minnesota Wild, the Edmonton Oilers are off to Chicago to face the Blackhawks on the heels of last night's 3-1 over St. Louis, the Winnipeg Jets will play in LA against the Kings and the Toronto Maple Leafs will take on the Sharks in San Jose.
And the Vancouver Canucks will hope to get their first win of the season in a road game against the Seattle Kraken. Canucks GM Patrik Allvin said yesterday he will continue to support head coach Bruce Boudreau despite the team being winless through seven games.
