The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints couldn't get the sweep yesterday when they hosted the Atikokan Voyageurs in one of their final regular-season games.

The Senior Girls' and Junior Girls' took their basketball games 51-22 and 31-17. The Senior Boys' Volleyball team won their match in three straight sets, but it was the Junior Boys' who fell to Atikokan 2 sets to none.

The Saints will host their final regular season game today when they welcome Pelican Falls for boys' volleyball. Elsewhere, the Sioux North Warriors will host the Dryden Eagles today.

Kenora Chiefs Advisory (KCA) Indigenous Rookie League wrapped up another successful baseball season.

Three senior teams and three junior teams comprised of 72 youth, came from the surrounding communities of Washagamis Bay, Wauzhushk Onigum Nation, Shoal Lake 40, Grassy Narrows and Whitefish Bay. Shoal Lake 40 won the senior division and Washagamis Bay won the junior division at the tournament.

This season, the team that earned the most points was Wauzhushk Onigum Nation. As the winners for 2022, the youth will all be going to watch a Toronto Blue Jays game next season

The red-hot Edmonton Oilers battle the visiting New Jersey Devils on a busy NHL schedule tonight. Edmonton has won five straight and Oilers star Connor McDavid leads the league with 22 points through 10 games.

Elsewhere, the Ottawa Senators host the Vegas Golden Knights, the Winnipeg Jets welcome the Montreal Canadiens, the Calgary Flames look to end a two-game losing skid against the Nashville Predators at home, and the Vancouver Canucks meet the visiting Anaheim Ducks.
