The U18 Kenora AAA Thistles are gearing up to host the Winnipeg Bruins tonight. In their last match-up against the Bruins, Kenora fell 6-1. Puck drop tonight is at the Rec Centre at 7:30 p.m. 

The St. Thomas Aquinas Saints kick off the NorWOSSA 'A' playoff semi-finals on home court today. Battling it out in Junior and Senior Girls' basketball will be Rainy River and Red Lake. The Saints will take on Pelican Falls for Junior Boys' volleyball. The Senior Boys' will be Atikokan and Red Lake.

T.A received first seed and the bye into the NorWOSSA finals for senior and junior girls as well as senior boys.

In the NBA, The Toronto Raptors return home for a visit from the Houston Rockets. The Raptors have won four of five games at Scotiabank Arena this year but are coming off a road loss in Chicago. The Rockets sit last in the NBA's Western Conference with a 2-and-9 record.

In the NHL, The Vancouver Canucks continue their eastern road swing in Montreal. Vancouver dispatched the Ottawa Senators 6-4 last night. Vancouver captain Bo Horvat scored two more goals to increase his season output to 12. The Canadiens are coming off a 3-2 shoot-out win in Detroit.

And Edmonton Oilers winger Evander Kane is in a Tampa hospital after being cut by a skate blade on his left wrist early in the second period of the Oilers' game against the Lightning. The Oilers say Kane was transported to the hospital in stable condition and would undergo a procedure there.
