It is with broken hearts that the family of Alan Demontigny announces his unexpected passing on Monday October 10, 2022 at Lake of the Woods Hospital.

Esky was born on July 5, 1956 in Russell, Manitoba to parents Anne Demontigny and Frank Demontigny. Alan was one of the younger kids in his family of 9 siblings. He was a father of two and a proud member of Gambler First Nation. Alan loved life in Kenora, he belonged close to the water.

Esky was known for his passion of fishing, he worked as a fisherman’s guide for many years. If he wasn’t out on the lake you could find him driving the streets of Kenora working taxi for CO-OT.

Esky had the biggest heart and would go out of his way to help out anyone. He had the brightest smile and an even more contagious laugh. Esky was known by many people. Anywhere he went, someone would know him.

He is remembered by his mother Anne Demontigny, son Dakota Demontigny, daughter Kelsie Demontigny, and his siblings.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.brownfuneralhomekenora.com for the Demontigny family.
