The Portage Terriers are back on the road tonight as they travel to Waywayseecappo for a meeting with the Wolverines. The Dogs currently lead the season series 2-1. These contests have been high scoring as at least one team has reached the five-goal mark in each game.

Portage is coming off back-to-back convincing wins where they allowed less than 20 shots on net. The Terrier defencemen have also been chipping in on the offensive end, especially Hayden Lacquette. The Dogs' leading-scorer has put up seven points in his last three games, which earned him a nod for one of the MJHL's Three Stars of the Week. Lacquette was the Defenceman of the Month winner, back in September, and leads the entire MJHL in points by a defenceman.

Terrier forward Austin Peters has also been on a roll lately as he has the longest point streak of any Terrier this season, getting on the stat sheet in his last seven straight games. During that span, he's scored three goals and added seven helpers, which has moved him up to second in total points on the team.

The Wolverines are entering this contest on a two-game win streak and were victorious in six of their last seven games. Waywayseecappo will be looking to take the special teams advantage in this one, as they have the second-best home penalty kill in the MJHL at 89.3 per cent.

Both teams will be looking to extend their win streaks to three games tonight in Waywayseecappo, with puck drop set for 7:30. You can listen to the game live on CFRY.
