Drivers are reporting very poor visibility due to thick fog throughout much of southern Manitoba Sunday morning, and Environment Canada has issued a fog advisory.
Visibility reportedly improves the further east you travel, with the Winnipeg region having good visibility for the most part.
From Environment Canada
Dense fog patches with near-zero visibility will continue into Sunday morning.
A saturated and stagnant air mass over southern Manitoba has resulted in the formation of very dense fog patches. Conditions will begin to improve after sunrise on Sunday morning.
Visibility may be significantly and suddenly reduced to near zero. Travel is expected to be hazardous due to reduced visibility in some locations.
If travelling, be prepared for areas of near-zero visibility. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
