It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Robert “Bob” Neufeld. After a prolonged battle, Bob passed away at the Portage District General Hospital on December 6, 2022 at the age of 67 years.

Bob will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Diane; children James (Merissa), Jason (Angel), Jaime and Andy (Olivia); grandchildren Bryce, Jenna, Jewel, Piper, Ethan, Kate and Lucy; siblings Gilbert (Judy), Stan (Edna), Maxine (John), Doug (Anna) and Wally (Donna); sisters-in-law Joanne and Edith; brothers-in-law Ed (Nancy) and Rob (Lisa); along with nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents Walter and Dorothy; parents-in-law Ronald and Leona Painter; brothers Laverne, Lorne and Gerald; nephews Dennis, Jimmy and Christopher and niece Wendy.

Bob was born in MacGregor, MB on July 4, 1955. He grew up in Rossendale at his parents farm and attended Rossendale Elementary School. He helped on the family farm and raised rabbits as a hobby. Bob entered into the “Working World” with a few mechanical related starter jobs until he found his calling working for Christianson John Deere, where he spent 46 years at his career of choice. Upgrading his schooling and receiving his Red Seal in Heavy Duty Mechanics, he went from technician to service manager, then retiring as service advisor from Enns Brothers in 2018.

After his first marriage, Bob found his forever life partner Diane in 1984. They were married on September 15, 1990 and resided in the Edwin Community until his passing. Bob will be forever

remembered for his expertise of John Deere tractor mechanics, his hobby of sausage making, meat processing and recently his woodworking. He would always have a drink for you if you stopped in at “The Butcher Shop” and send you home with some of his homemade sausage and jerky. Summertime trips to the lake with his family were made often, where he enjoyed boating, fishing, relaxing and visiting with friends.

Funeral Service will be held at McKenzies Portage Funeral Chapel on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at 1:00 pm, with burial to follow at Rossendale Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made in Bob’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
