The SIJHL is on its Christmas Break, but the Kenora Thistles are headed to Winnipeg tomorrow to face the Thrashers. It's their last game before a couple of weeks off.

The Thistles are 10-17-2 with 22 points this season, good for tenth in the twelve-team league. They have a 7-point lead on Parkland and a 13-point lead on the Norman Northstars.

Four Canadian teams are in action in the NHL tonight. The Winnipeg Jets take on the Ottawa Senators at home after falling 3-2 to the Kraken on Sunday. Elsewhere, the Leafs take on the Tampa Bay Lightning in a rematch of last year's playoffs, and the Flames visit San Jose.

The Montreal Alouettes will officially introduce Jason Maas as the CFL club's new head coach at a press conference today. Maas takes over the reins of the team from general manager Danny Maciocia, who served as the interim coach last season.
