It's been a memorable first half of the curling season for Dayna Wahl, Piper Stoesz, Anna Ginters and Gillian Hildebrand. The Altona Curling Club foursome won the Canada Games Trials in Winnipeg in late October, and then captured the Provincial U18 Championship on New Year's Eve in their hometown.

The team will now be competing at the Canadian U18 Championship in Timmins, Ontario and the 2023 Canada Winter Games in Prince Edward Island in February.

When the closing ceremonies came to an end this past Saturday, our Clayton Dreger asked Dayna Wahl's mom Rachel to describe how it felt to watch her daughter's team win the Provincial U18 championship at their home club.
