The Kenora AAA Thistles fell in both of their games over the weekend.

They hosted the Yellowhead Chiefs and only scored the lone goal in Saturday's match, but lost 3-1. They were blanked in yesterday's matinee 3-0.

They'll be on the road to take on Interlake this weekend in a double header.

The Sioux Lookout Bombers proved successful in their 2-game series this weekend. They hosted Fort Frances where they outscored the Lakers 9-5 on Friday and clobbered them 13-3 on Saturday.

The Dryden GM Ice Dogs took game one on Friday over the Thunder Bay Northstars 4-3 in overtime, but Saturday's game was postponed.

There are only four games on the NHL schedule today, but three Canadian teams are in action.

The Edmonton Oilers are in Los Angeles to face the Kings, the Montreal Canadiens host the Seattle Kraken, who have won four straight, and the Ottawa Senators host the Nashville Predators, who have won three in a row.

In the fourth game, the Buffalo Sabres host the Philadelphia Flyers.

Canada will play host Sweden today in the Under-18 women's world hockey championship.

Caitlin Kraemer scored two goals and added an assist as Canada opened the tournament yesterday by trouncing Finland 8-0, while Sweden lost 6-3 to the United States. Canada will play the US on Wednesday.
