The Winnipeg Ice had a dominant victory in Saskatchewan on Wednesday evening, keeping their opponents to just one goal and under 20 shots on net.
The Ice skated to an 8-1 victory over the Prince Albert Raiders thanks to Zach Benson and Connor McClennon each getting a goal and three assists.
Carson Lambos scored twice, while singles came from Carson Latimer, Conor Geekie, Easton Armstrong and Ty Nash as the Ice improved their record to 31-5-1.
Nash led the Ice with six shots on goal as they outshot Prince Albert 39-16.
Hayden Pakkala broke the shutout bid of winning netminder Daniel Hauser with an early second period goal. Raider goaltender Tikhon Chaika suffered the loss stopping 23 of 29 over 40:36 before Max Hildebrand came in relief allowing two goals on 10 shots.
Winnipeg went 3/4 on the power play while the Raiders were 0/2.
The Ice return to the Ice Cave inside Wayne Fleming Arena for a pair of games this weekend versus the Moose Jaw Warriors (Saturday at 8:00 and Sunday at 5:00).
