The Portage Terriers are looking to take sole possession of first place in the MJHL standings tonight. The Dogs are tied with the Steinbach Pistons for the top spot for the first time since November.

Portage currently holds the tiebreaker over the Pistons as they are 3-1 in the season series thus far, and the Dogs also have three extra games to play.

The Terriers are set to play their third in a four-game road trip tonight as they head to Swan Valley for a meeting with the Stampeders. Portage has won two of the three contests against Swan Valley this season, and this will be the last matchup between the two clubs in the regular season.

Local forward Ryan Botterill has been on fire for Portage as he hit the 20-goal marker on Wednesday and has scored nine goals in his last nine games. Kaden Kohle has been on a stellar run offensively as well, with a goal in every game this month.

The Dogs have a +12 goal differential on their current seven-game win streak and have allowed more than two goals just twice in that span.

The Terriers and Stampeders will faceoff tonight in Swan Valley with puck drop set for 7:00.
