Gloria Johnson (Saunders) born February 25th, 1953 in Winnipeg, Manitoba passed away peacefully on January 16th, 2023 surrounded by family and friends in Kenora, Ontario.
She was a loving mother and wife as well as a pillar of support to her community and everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her. Gloria lived an adventurous life and was an avid traveller who made many homes throughout her life including Winnipeg, Toronto, Mississauga, Powassan, Cape Breton Island, and finally settling in Kenora.
She also explored a variety of opportunities throughout her life including delivering mail for Canada Post to teaching teenagers and adults to helping deliver hot nutritious meals for those in need. She had a wealth of knowledge and experience that she loved to share with everyone in her life.
Gloria is predeceased by her father Fred and mother Jean (Dennis). She is survived by husband Ross, step-mother Phyllis, daughter Alison (James), son Ryan (Sarah), brothers John, Tim (Shelley), Colin (Marilyn) and sister Toby (Craig) as well as countless others who have been touched by Gloria's warm heart throughout her life.
As per her wishes, Gloria will be cremated and a memorial of life will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers please send donations to your local Meals on Wheels organization.
