The first meeting of the month for Weyburn City Council is Monday night. The meeting will be in the council chambers at City Hall, starting at 6:00 p.m.
The agenda for the council will be packed, with a number of reports being presented. Among those reports are the tax arrears report from the City Assessor, the Building Permit report for January, and the Public Works and Water Treatment Plant reports for January.
There will be a vote on a tender for a wide-area mower. The mower is for the Parks and Facilities department and will be an additional unit for them. There was $100,000 included in the budget for this purchase. Only one tender was received by the city for the mower, from South Country Equipment.
A Building Bylaw will also be presented. The Bylaw would be enacted for the purpose of regulating construction within the City of Weyburn.
There will also be a discussion about the use of a portion of the city buffer strip along 6th Street NE by a private resident.
We will have full coverage of the meeting, on-air and online, starting Tuesday morning.
