W.C. Miller Collegiate’s Youth In Philanthropy (YIP) group has committed to extending its partnership with Altona Community Foundation (ACF) for another three years.

The aim of the collaboration is to provide a high school-level philanthropic program that encourages community action among students.

Each year the YIP group accepts applications from groups looking to raise funds for special projects directly related to YIP’s goals.
The monies raised by student-initiated efforts are matched by ACF and then granted out to designated special projects that support community projects beneficial
to young people and families with an overriding goal of promoting health, learning, and an active lifestyle.

On the heels of a bake sale in October and a school clothing sale in December, the next student fundraiser will involve selling snacks and refreshments at the upcoming drama production of "Clue: On Stage" from March 1st to 4th.
