Kathy Cleaver has been re-elected to a new term as President of the Board of Directors of the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba.

That group hosts major events like the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in Brandon.

Cleaver has spent the past year as President, having replaced Greg Crisanti in February 2022, leaving Crisanti with his Past President title.

“Oh, I enjoy the work and I also enjoy the people I get to work with the others I get to meet because of the job. You get to meet sponsors, and this is an industry that I love.”

Cleaver stated she was “extremely pleased the board trusted her with another year in the position of President and thankful for everyone that voted.”

Clint Swain was also re-elected for another term as Vice President.

In addition to the leadership appointments, four directors were chosen to the Executive Board. Congratulations to the new appointments of Jim Andrey, Candace Bowles, Bob Scott and returning executive director, Angela Pearen.

The Provincial Exhibition continues to prepare for the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair in March.

“Right now, we’re in pretty good shape. We have a group that’s really engaged in what they do, and we have a new GM Mark Humphries whose always full speed ahead.”

Cleaver says they showed a profit last year and the Provincial Exhibition of Manitoba is in a pretty good financial situation.
