The Family Day long weekend is upon us. Here are five activities taking place this weekend for you to check out:

Moose Jaw Warriors take to the ice

The Moose Jaw Warriors are on the ice Friday night to take on the WHL-leading Winnipeg Ice.

The Ice hold a 41-7-1-0 record, but the Warriors have had Winnipeg's number on home ice with a 2-1-0-1 head-to-head record.

It is the Warriors & Legends Hall of Fame game as they will honour the latest inductees Kevin Masters and Paul Dyck.

Players Brayden Yager, Atley Calvert, Jackson Unger and Robert Baco will also be at the Moose Jaw Co-op food store from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday to sign autographs.

Puck drop is at 7 p.m.

New to Nordic at Buffalo Pound

Want to give Nordic skiing a try? You can learn the basics of set-tracking skiing from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday at Buffalo Pound Provincial Park. Some equipment is available or you can bring your own.

If temperatures full below -26 degrees with the windchill, the event will be cancelled. You can pre-register through Tourism Saskatchewan's website

Movie Mania at the Mae Wilson

Looking to take in a free movie? The Mae Wilson Theatre is holding Movie Mania on Saturday. Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item for the Moose Jaw & District Food Bank.

The matinee show will be Wall-E at 2 p.m. and Back To The Future will be the evening show at 7 p.m.

Snowtorious Family Day

The Downtown Moose Jaw Association is debuting its "Snowtorious Family Day" on Monday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The "Snowtorious Family Day" is part of the Downtown Moose Jaw Association's goal to aid, stimulate, develop, and beautify the Moose Jaw Downtown Development Area.

The event will be jam-packed with fun things to do, including wagon rides, street hockey, and free hot dogs and hot chocolate.

The Moose Jaw Warriors and Moose Jaw Fire Department will also be making their rounds during the festivities.
