Victoria Anna Fingas
Peacefully on February 17, 2023, Victoria “Vicki” Fingas passed away at the Portage District General Hospital at the age of 91 years.

Victoria was born on May 26, 1931 in Brandon, Manitoba. She grew up in Griswold, Manitoba and after graduating from Normal School went on to be a teacher. While teaching in Inglis, Manitoba, Victoria met Wilmer and in 1956 they were married. Wilmer and Victoria resided on the family farm in Inglis where their two sons, Cameron and Kim were born. In 1963 they moved to Portage la Prairie and farmed in the Portage area. Victoria continued her teaching career in Portage la Prairie at Victoria School. Their daughter, Michelle, was born in Portage.
Victoria loved spending time with her grandchildren and could always be counted on for some fun activities while the grandchildren were over.
One of Victoria’s favourite pastimes was entering contests. Victoria and Wilmer enjoyed travelling and going to the casino. She also took pride in the flowers in their yard on Tupper Street.
The family would like to express their appreciation to Felicia for the excellent care and compassion she provided to Victoria this past year. They also wish to thank the Boundary Trails Hospital and the Portage General Hospital for the care received during her stay.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made in Victoria’s name to Sunset Palliative Care Box 92, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3B2 or the Portage District Hospital Foundation, 524 - 5th St.SE, Portage la Prairie, MB, R1N 3A8.
