The Normac Arena in MacGregor is celebrating 50 years next weekend, and plenty of fun activities are planned for Friday, March 3rd, and Saturday the 4th at Stride Centre. The arena that originally got its name from a combination of North Norfolk and MacGregor and it's where it all happens.

Municipality of North Norfolk Facility Manager and Recreation Director Karl Gurke outlines one of the events.

"While rescheduling our 50th anniversary, our curling club decided that this would be a perfect opportunity to have their two-person Glow Curling," says Gurke. "We have our black lights in our arena, in our curling side, and we give out slow sticks, and we got glow paint already in our ice for the rings. It is just an absolutely fun time to go out and curl with friends."

Sadie Tate is the contact person taking registrations.

"It's $80.00 per team and they're guaranteed three games," continues Gurke. "Everything is cash prize and she needs a minimum of eight two-person teams to run. If anybody's interested, please contact Sadie."

Deadline for registering is today (Saturday, Feb. 25th) and they need a list of everyone who wants to curl.
