After a long pause due to COVID-19, the Rathwell community is set to host their 49th annual Snowmobile Derby Sunday.

Bailey Delf, the President of the Rathwell Snowmobile Derby, says he speaks for everyone in the community when he says they are looking forward to the day.

"We were fortunate enough to have our one in 2020, right before the pandemic. We've been three years waiting now, so everyone's super pumped up to get back out."

Between 100 and 200 riders are expected on Sunday, with proceeds going toward the Rathwell Fire Department.

Riders can register between 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Rathwell Skating Rink, and poker hands will be available from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. with entertainment and a roast beef dinner at the Rathwell Memorial Hall.

"It draws a lot from surrounding communities. We've been known to put on a good show here in our town," notes Delf.
