TBT: 12 years since flooding at Woodlawn Field

At a time when flooding is a concern in some Saskatchewan communities - including Swift Current, where the City declared a local emergency - residents in the southeast may be thinking back to the widespread destruction from floods in 2011.

A 2010-11 winter with record-breaking snowfall and a rainy spring led to flash floods in April, and, ultimately, what many called the 'Flood of a Century' by June.

For a throwback Thursday, it was on this date - April 13 - in 2011 that photographer Wanda Harron captured images of the Woodlawn football field area covered by deep water.
